Real Alcazar of Seville
On December 11, 1987 it was declared World Heritage. The palatine fortress, built by Muslims to control the Guadalquivir, was a royal residence since the twelfth century. With Pedro I the palace located inside the Mudejar-style Alcazar is built and although the decoration of the rooms, fountains or pavilions was modified over the centuries, the original layout of the Alcazar did not undergo substantial changes. Currently, it is the European Royal Palace in use of greater antiquity.
